reflection on japn 101

Time flies and here we are, in the end of the semester. I can't believe it has been over 3 months already. I have to admit that I have learned a lot in this class. I remember in the first day of class, I couldn't even say "yoroshiku onegaishimasu." At that moment, I was like shit, this class is much harder than I thought it is. Therefore, I started out the semester mainly focusing on Japanese. After over 3 months of hard work, although I still don't do well orally and I still lack of confidence in speaking Japanese, I am proud of myself in doing the oral interview and speech. Of course there are still a lot more to learn but coming from not being able to say even 2 words, I can't believe that I could actually say over about 600 words at once in front of the class on last Friday!!!!

Moreover, I love the atmosphere of the class. Although sometimes it's kinda obvious that everyone was stressing out, we still had lots of fun. We laughed at others' skits; we made fun of our own mistakes... many wonderful memories. I have to say that this is a hard class but I like it. I enjoyed working with everyone in class. I think this is the only class that made my face turned extremely red after every single test.

reflection on peer reading

Ever since high school, I've always liked peer reading even for my English writings. I think it's very beneficial to know what I get wrong my peers and listen to what they think about my writing. They can give me some advices for how to make my paper better. They can give me suggestions for making my paper more interesting. Also, they find mistakes that I may not notice myself and correcting the mistakes, raises my confidence in getting a better grade. As a peer reader, the most important thing is I learn from others' mistakes. For me, it's easier to spot someone else's mistakes than my own's. Furthermore, by reading others' papers, I see the different unique writing styles that everyone has. This sort of give me an idea of how I should do my own paper. Therefore, I think peer reading is very helpful in learning and getting a better grade overall.

私のたのしいこどもの時

私はこどもの時にまい日ごぜん六時半ぐらいおきて、あさごはんを食べて、学こうに行きました。クラスであまりともだちとはなしませんでしたから、とてもしずかでしたよ。それから、まい日しゅくだいをしましたから、先生は私がすきでしたよ。私はいい学生でした。
先生は学こうで私に中国ごとえいごをおしえでした。それから、すう学とか学もおしえでした。クラスはやさしかったですから、あまりべんきょうしました。たくさんく時かんがありましたよ。だから、まいばん、うちで一時かんぐらい中国のテレビを見ました。それから、よくともだちのいえでゲームをあそんで、えいがをたくさん見ました。せいかつはとてもたのしかったですね。私はぜんぜんいそがしくありませんでしたから、せいかつは大はんじゃありませんでしたよ。
私はこどもの時にピアノが大すきでしたから、まい日一時かん半ピアノをしました。せイングも大すきでした。だから、まいばんおふろにはいって、さえずりでした（sang）。でも、バイオリンはきらいでした。バイオリンはとてもむずかしかったですから。だから、あまりしませんでした。 　　　それから、私は十三さいの時にアメリカに行きましたまで、あまりごはんを食べませんでしたが、おかし（candy）はたくさん食べました。おかしが大すきでしたから。でも、いま私は食べものが大すきです。だから、よく食べますよ。　　　みなさん、私のこどもの時にせいかつはどうでしたか。

私はピアノは大すきでした。せイングも大すきでした。だから、よくピアノをしました。それから、まいにちおるらにはいって、さえずでした。でも、バイオリンはきらいでした。バイオリンはたのしくありませんから。だから、あまりしました。

それから、私のこどもの時にあまりごはんをたべませんでした。でも、おかしはたくさんたべました。おかしが大すきでしたから。でも、私はアメリカに行きましたまで、私は食べものが大すきですから、よく食べます。おいしく食べものを食べます。食べものはおいしくありません、も食べます。けっこうじゃありませんですね。

それから、私のこどもの時にいぬがいました。でも、私はいぬがあまりすきじゃありませんでした。いぬはちいさかったですが、ちょっとこわかったですね。

私のこどもの時にとてもしずかでしたね。クラスであまりはなしませんでした。だから、せんせいは私がすきでしたよ。私はたくさんべんきよしました。だから、いいがくせいでした。

私はうちであまりごはんをたべませんでした。でも、おかしはたくさんたべました。おかしがだいすきでしたから。

それから、いぬがいました。でも、私はいぬがあまりすきじゃありませんでした。いぬはちいさかったですが、ちょっとこわかったですね。

私はピアノはだいすきでした。でも、バイオリンはだいきらいでした。バイオリンはたのしくありません。だから、あまりしました。

日本のクラスがすきです！

私はにか月ぐらい日本語をべんきょうします。私はクラスがすきです。クラスはおもしろいとたのしいですから。たくさんがくせいがじゃありません。それから、がくせいはとても元気ですね。せんせいもとても元気です。でも、たくさんしゅくだいがあります。それから、しゅくだいはとてもむずかしいです。テストもとてもむずかしいです。だから、がくせいはよく日本語をたくさんべんきょうします。いいがくせいですね。それから、私はクラスのがくせいとスキトをします。スキトはおもしろいですね。スキトがだいすきですよ。

みなさんはクリスマスにどこにいきますか。わかりました。California におとうとのうちへいきますか。それから、San Francisco　のデパートにかいものをたくさんしますか。でも、きょねんSan Franciscoにいきました。ことしの五月San Francisco　にもいきました。じゃあ、どこにいきますか。Florida　におとうさんとおかあさんのうちへいきますか。みなさん、アイディアがありますか。

crap! I can't believe that i'm cramming for my bio test again!!!!! >.< the worst is i feel sooooo sick of studying already.... this is just pathetic~ i hope i can finally learn how to manage my time better~

anyway, to me, a blog is kinda like a personal diary~ so i don't really there's a way to judge whether it's good or not~ however, it will be a lot more interesting to readers if the page is decorated with pictures n has a light background with dark colored words or a dark background with light colored words~ the most important thing of all is to keep the blog updated~!

wow, this week is over before i even realized!!!! it's sooooo quick!!!! this is the easiest week that i've had after the first 2 weeks of school~ i had only jp today~ that's just awesome!!!! but need to study for tmr's test now~ soooo scared~ みなさん、gd luck on tmr's test~!

sooooo exhausted.... i'm glad that finally it's friday n we got a long weekend!!!! yet, i can't be slacking though... instead, i need to use this time wisely to catch up with all the materials in every single class that i'm in~ yes, i do mean every single class~ how did i get soooo behind with everything??? hell knows~ anyway, i did extremely bad in japn class this whole week. it's soooo depressing to see how low my participation grades are~ i tried hard already but i'm still lost in class~ hopefully, this break will refresh my mind so i can start over again! ^^

This is one of my favorite Japanese dramas' music video. It's soooo awesome. The name of the song is "seishun amigo." The name of the drama is "Nobuta wo Produce." It's a very sweet drama about friendship. It almost made me cry in the last episode. いいですね！！！！

Also, today I had my very first job interview in my life!!!! I was kinda scared but it was really cool. The happiest thing is I got hired!!!! Unfortunately, the wage is very low though... but I'm still glad that I got the job~ ^^

After all the midterms last week, I need to catch up with the drama again~ I'm watching Nobuta Wo Produce which is kinda ok~ I'm still on Episode 3 so hopefully, it will get better later on... I also need to catch up with Hana Kimi~ soooo much to watch~ haha, I know this is very random but because I haven't watched any Japanese drama since summer, so it's kinda weird that I can read some of the words they show in the drama~ I'm excited about it, too! hopefully, I will soon be able to catch some of the words that they speak, too~! can't wait til then coz then I don't have to rely on the subtitles~!!! ^^

Soooooo desperate for a break!!!!!!!!

This week is the worst week in my life!!!! I've never been that busy before!!! Katakana quizzes everyday, Japanese hw everyday, skit due, cultural presentation due, Chem test on Wed, Psyc test on Thurs, Bio test on Fri, med volunteer training... endless list of things!!!!! I'm extremely exhausted & stressed!!!!!! How the heck do I end up with sooooo many readings that I haven't done?????!!!! This is just absurd & crazy!!!! I'm definitely suffering from a brain dead right now. I think I'm just stupid as hell coz I spend at least 2 hours on Japanese every single day but I still suck at it~ It takes up my majority of time but I still do well at all. ah... soooo depressing~!!!! oops, time to go study more now! thanks for bearing with my complaints~ arigatoo gozaimashu~

I Finally Get to Learn Japanese!!!!

Japan is a country full of fancy things, trendy clothes and delicious food to me. Hello Kitty, Melody, cute looking handbags and jewelries, and sushi are all my favorites. I am a person who is extremely crazy about shopping so I wish I can go to Japan and just buy tons of things. Unfortunately, money is a huge issue. Therefore, I guess I will just have to wait then.
At the meantime, I am also very addicted to Japanese movies and dramas. One of my favorites is Hana Yori Dango and you all may know why. It is basically because of Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun. Anyway, although many of the movies and dramas have subtitles, I have always wanted to learn Japanese and its culture. Therefore, I decided to take Japanese 101. I know it is a challenge to learn a foreign language but it is much harder than I thought it would be. Although I am struggling with the writing and pronuntiation right now, I still wanna learn Japanese. I can't guarantee whether I will be able to master in Japanese but my goal is to be able to understand basically a whole movie or drama without any subtitles and be able to communicate with others when I go visit Japan one day. I know this is ridiculous but this is just me.
